The Most Media Backup Options
Lifeguard supports a wide array of media, including:

• CD-R, CD-R/RW

• Hard drives including USB and Firewire external drives
• Zip, Jazz, MO and LS-120 SuperDisk
• USB pen drives

Lifeguard automatically uses multiple disks for large backups (disk spanning) and optimally arranges your data on disk to save space.

Disaster Recovery
Lifeguard is equipped to help you quickly and easily recover your data after even the most severe computer disasters.

All you need to do is put the backup disk that you created with Lifeguard in your hard drive. Lifeguard doesn't even need to be installed! It will start automatically and will restore your files in one easy step.

Simple, Easy-to-Use Interface
Lifeguard comes with two interfaces: simple and advanced. Simple mode features easy-to-use wizards to help new users and advanced mode brings more backup options to those who need it. You can choose what data you want to back up with a single click.

Backup and Recover
Lifeguard supports full and incremental backups. You can backup all your files or only those that have changed since your last backup. Schedule multiple backup jobs to run automatically.

Easily Transfer Files Between PCs
Use Lifeguard to move valuable files to a new computer. Lifeguard recognizes your documents automatically so you don't have to worry about corrupting your new computer by copying old settings and incompatible files.

Lifeguard is compatible with all versions of Windows, so you can use it to move from one version to another without problems.

Automatic Data Detection
Lifeguard automatically finds your files and sets itself up upon install. Lifeguard's scheduler will run your backups whenever you want, and as frequently as you need.

Lifeguard automatically detects new files and folders, and notices when your files and folders have changed.

Email Backup
Direct access to your email program allows Lifeguard to back up only the emails and attachments you want to save, as well as hidden information like your address book. Lifeguard is the only backup product that handles emails. Lifeguard works automatically with Outlook™, Outlook Express and Eudora™.

Speed & Power
Lifeguard uses proprietary technology to maximize the speed of your computer. It provides strong compression, encryption and file location optimization in the same amount of time that normal backup software programs merely copy files.

Lifeguard works with your CD or DVD burner to achieve maximum speed.

Internet backup
Lifeguard is the only product to offer the ease and automation of Internet backup. Use your existing FTP account or sign up for Lifeguard's Internet Backup Service. You can have all your data stored inside Tenebril's secure data center.

Lifeguard comes with its own server software that you can use to back up your home or office computers to one location. Receive detailed backup reports by email.

Security
Lifeguard is the only product to offer strong encryption. Lifeguard's 256-bit encryption algorithm provides bank-level security.

Every backup you create, whether on CD or via the Internet is automatically encrypted. You don't have to worry about where you store your data because you're the only one who can access it.

Smaller Backups
Unlike drive imaging, which can take 115 CDs to back up an average-sized hard drive, Lifeguard's backups usually fit on 1 or 2 CDs using the latest compression technology. It can fit 1.4GB of images onto a single CD, or even 1.8GB of documents.

Lifeguard's intelligent file management system ignores files you already have on CD, like Windows system files. This makes your backups smaller and protects you from version corruption when you restore.

Lifeguard lets you filter out files by what's inside them. You can back up only documents with certain titles, or emails from a certain person. Lifeguard is the only product that can see inside your data to help you determine what you want to backup.
